Helooo. Good today? Nearly Valentine’s and I’ve been making some paper bunting and garlands. The picture shows one made up into a three-heart dangler with a bead at the bottom (threaded with nylon fishing line!). I wanted to get a better shot to show it dangling prettily but I got one shot (a poor one – see below) as a certain little girlie cat decided she was going to help! That I got one shot of it dangling is pretty miraculous.
Anyway, the one in the picture above shows a teardrop design (the three-heart) and a single heart to its side with a different cut-out design. They can be resized and made into lots of pretty danglers or threaded together to make beautiful bunting.
They slot together very simply and can be dressed up in lots of ways to help make the day special and fun. I’m selling the SVG if you would like to buy the template (which has three designs, btw) for €4.00.
I’m just finishing a Pointy Cat – It caught my eye while having a browse. The template (free) is available from Wee Wonderfuls – Pointy Cat . Very cute. I think mine will be a pin cushion or Gracie will get her and she’ll come to a bad end (pointy cat, not Gracie!).
Also been trying out new techniques – the quilting technique below is called a Cathedral Window. I think traditionally muslin was used for the ‘window’ filler – it gave a translucency that simulated the effect of light coming through stained glass inside a church or cathedral. It was interesting to make but, to be honest, not much fun being fairly laborious. And uses too much material for little return.
Finally, with its back turned to me, is Frankensock. It will one day come to life as a sock monkey. It has been at this stage of construction for FIVE YEARS now. I don’t know why I just can’t be bothered with it. I have its arm and tail stuffed and ready to stitch on. All I need to do is make two ears, a mouth and sew two buttons on for its eyes. I love sock monkeys. They’re great fun. Just have no enthusiasm, no mojo, no nothing for this little guy. That said, I will DEFINITELY finish it… I think.
Heylo! The sun was out this morning putting everyone in a good mood. It was so lovely to go out without feeling weighed down with chunky layers and thick coats like a heavy-duty upholstered sofa and wear something light. Can just move so much more easily without castors! I made a mental note that when I got back I could do a bit of gardening and plant some flowers I bought at the weekend. Sadly, it didn’t pan out. The weather changed, the rains came down and it turned very cold. The plants, beautiful in bloom, sit, pot bound, waving through the window at me waiting for the next sunny opportunity. Never mind, they look a pretty sight and the rain will keep them healthy enough.
I also made a new pop-up at the weekend and am posting it for sale today. It is €4.00 and includes the butterfly topper and the zig-zagged middle with the pretty cut-out edging. The middle has ‘Happy Birthday’ in pop-up letters with zig-zagged decorative edging top and bottom and some cut out flowers. The card pictured has the template in a standard 135 x 135 mm square.
It is available in SVG format so is suitable for a wide range of cutting machines such as the Cameo, Silhouette, Silver Bullet, Black Cat Cougar, etc. The folds aren’t fiddly and won’t take long to prepare for going inside a card.
Payment is through Paypal and the electronic cutting template will be sent to the e-mail address of the PaylPal account holder unless otherwise specified.

Fancy Free SVG Lattice
Oh – and the .abr brush:
This house is really quick and easy to make up. Can’t go wrong. Lots of window frames to cut out and stick on but that’s part of the fun. The roof has lots of fish-scale cuts and a flouncy scalloped edging. It stands taller than most of my houses but that’s intentional. I want it as a backdrop for my Christmas arrangement when the time comes. I shall soon have a new town scene ready for some spritzing and glass glitter sprinkling to sit on my winter hearth to sparkle and glow…
Am selling it for €6.00. Usual arrangement – payment to be made through Pay Pal (which will convert currencies, etc) and the electronic template will be sent to the e-mail address of the Pay-Pay account holder – unless directed to do otherwise.
You will need a cutting machine and software, eg, Silhouette, Cameo, Craft Robo, Silver Bullet, Black Cat Cougar, etc that can work with SVG file formats. If you need a different file format, eg, GSD, DXF, .AI, etc, please contact me and I will convert the file for you.

Another cool day! I bought some white jean shorts especially for the hot weather at the weekend! They’re not Daisy Dukes but hey! I won’t be wearing them much longer if it stays chilly like this.
Anyhow, I’ve been busy. I posted this house before but didn’t put it up for sale because I didn’t get round to writing up the instructions and taking pictures of the build stages, etc. Well, I have now. All documented and detailed. The house above is made from two sheets of A3 and not too fiddly to build. A little bit of patience for the chimney and some attention to detail required – like glueing the chimney stack in the right way but nothing difficult.
It’s very pretty and I wish I lived in a house like it.
Pop a battery-operated tealight inside and – Oh My – it’s chocolate-box gorgeous. Maybe sprinkle with glass glitter as well – more gorgeous! Make a bunch of them and arrange them on your mantlepiece or hearth and light them up for Christmas – MAGIC!
Give them away as small Christmas Gifts or light your stall at the local Christmas fair for atmosphere and beauty! I am happy for you to make and sell the finished product – just not the template. It’s sturdy and strong and will withstand some handling for you to make a sample or two.
It’s now for sale at 11.50 euro. All payments are to be made through Paypal (Paypal will convert currency / exchange rate differences for you) . The electronic template will be sent to the e-mail account attached to the Paypal account holder (unless directed otherwise) within 24 hours of payment being received.
Please note you will need an electronic cutting machine like the Cameo, Silhouette, Craft Robo /Pro, Black Cat Cougar , Silver Bullet, etc, or similar machine that can cut files in an SVG format. If you want a different file format, eg, .AI, DXF, GSD, etc, drop me a line and I’ll convert for you.
