Just having a morning cuppa to warm up and get me going.
Aren’t these nice? A euro at a car boot sale. Shan’t use them, of course. Purely for decoration in my sewing room but a super little vintage find. They were all I got, nothing else there caught my eye – oh – except a coffee pot. Connemara pottery but it was part of a ‘set’ (had various bits and bobs from a full set) and the stall-holder wouldn’t separate the pieces. Sadly, a No Deal.
Made a couple of cushion covers. The New York fabric I’ve used before – the tablet cover I posted back in June and a more recent tea pot cosy. Have cut another cover out ready to sew and that will get done over the weekend. Simple envelope-tuck. No zips or buttons, just quick and easy.
The other well-funky fabric is from Ikea. I love their curtain materials. The quality, the price and the fabulous designs. It’s a bit bonkers but cool and works well with the Ikea, comfier-than-you’d-ever-imagine, Poang.
Also been very busy getting ready for Christmas. Still haven’t sorted out the spacing and stitched the hearts to the cord on the Christmas garland yet. Will do that over the weekend and get that done. Having too many UFOs (UnFinished Objects) gets me a bit distracted.
My neighbour brought me round a couple of Christmas puds she’d made so had them cooking – bubbling for the many hours they take. No matter. Christmas pudding is Christmas in a bowl to me. Keep the turkey. Stuff the stuffing. Give me a big bowl of Christmas pudding with cream or custard – not brandy butter though – and I’m happy.
Got to go. Wrap up warm – November is definitely here and has sharp teeth to give you a nasty nip!
